What is CrossFit Kids?
Bare Bones CrossFit Kids program is specifically designed to prepare children for the obstacles of daily life by enhancing all areas of fitness. BBCF Kids programming is more of a scaled down version of the adults workouts and skills training and focuses on more fun and creative workouts to get kids excited about exercise. Our program is also designed to help educate youth on the fundamentals of fitness in a positive, safe and supportive environment. Our program delivers broad, general and inclusive fitness that enhances the 10 general physical skills in a FUN and creative way!
How can CrossFit Kids benefit my child?
At Bare Bones CrossFit, our focus is to help increase the following significant skills a child needs: motor skills, neurological skills and cognitive skills. We’ve designed our program to help children increase the above skills by teaching the children a wide variety of movements, remembering the sequence of movements when put into a workout and keeping count of their reps. CrossFit Kids will gain more confidence, a positive attitude and a better understanding of teamwork. CrossFit Kids training will also benefit involvement in sports by incorporating strength training and conditioning and will result in a more balanced and well-rounded athlete.
CrossFit Kids workouts consist of constantly varied, functional movements that deliver a fitness that is broad, inclusive and general and scaleable for any participant at any level.
This means that, for the most part, no two workouts are the same, so kids and teens never get bored and the novelty of each workout keeps them excited about participating.
The functional movements involve exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids need to do when they play-pull, push,run, throw, climb, lift and jump. All of the movements are taught safely and effectively under the close supervision of thoroughly trained CrossFit Kids Trainers.
When fitness is defined as broad, inclusive and general it means that participants will become well-rounded athletes who will be better at any and every sport that they play because CrossFit Kids doesn’t coach them to be good at just one thing.
Our workouts will increase physical competence in 10 fitness domains: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.
With workouts that are scaleable, CrossFit Kids can equally benefit a person who is less active or an accomplished athlete by tailoring workouts so that each participant is challenged just enough to deliver measurable results and personal athletic progress.
In addition to increasing a child’s fitness and athleticism, Bare Bones CrossFit Kids:
- Helps develop life skills such as communication, perseverance, dedication, goal-setting, concentration and problem solving.
- Instills confidence, positive body image and healthy living
- Helps prevent injury
- Creates positive relationships and friendships by being part of a community of like-minded individuals
How are BBCF Kids classes run?
A certified, insured Coach will supervise and run all kid’s classes. Classes include warm-up, skill work, a workout and games to help reinforce skills. This makes exercising and learning FUN for the kids. All classes are in a group setting.

BARE BONES CROSSFIT KIDS: ages 10-13 (depending on skill level)
Monthly Membership Rates:
3 Days per week $100 per month
2 Days per week $85 per month
Current BBCF Member’s Kids:
3 Days per week $85 per month
2 Days per week $70 per month

Our Teens classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 5:30pm
